Beyond BTUs: Building the Case for kW as the Recognized Thermal Standard
Imagine a world where both electrical and thermal sources of energy were expressed in kW (or kWh). This concept has likely occurred to anyone who has had to explain what a BTU is to a non-technical person. Such a world is not too hard to imagine if we look at the way most of the world expresses heat pump capacity and building loads in kW.
