

Joe Parsons - Director
Beginning in 2018, Joe joined ClimateMaster as Senior Product Manager, where he led the development and oversight of residential geothermal products and programs. In 2023, he advanced to the Climate Control Group marketing team, serving as the Senior Marketing Sustainability Manager across the ClimateMaster, ClimaCool, IEC, and ClimateCraft brands. His efforts supported sustainable market growth, brand development, and industry leadership.
During his time at Climate Control Group, Joe was deeply committed to advancing the geothermal heat pump industry through education and public engagement. He contributed thought leadership on critical topics such as the Inflation Reduction Act, the economics of decarbonization, and fostering collaboration with drilling professionals to expand geothermal adoption.
Joe is no longer employed by Climate Control Group but remains active in the industry, continuing to advocate for geothermal solutions and sustainable building technologies.
EarthLinked Technologies:
- Prior to his time at ClimateMaster, Joe served as President and CEO of EarthLinked Technologies, a Florida-based geothermal heat pump manufacturer, where he played a key role in product innovation and market development.
Industry Participation & Advocacy:
- An unwavering voice for the geothermal industry, Joe's activities have spanned across standards-setting and advocacy organizations. He was elected to the Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) board of directors in 2014 and led as its chairman from 2016 to 2018.
- Joe was elected to the Internal Ground Source Heat Pump Board of Directors in 2023 to serve a three-year term. In 2024, he was elected IGSHPA Treasurer.
- He is a founding member of NY-GEO and is a recently retired officer and board member of the California Geothermal Heat Pump Association.
- Joe has twice served in leadership positions for AHRI as Geothermal and Water Source Product Section chair and board member.
- A dedicated ASHRAE member since 1998, Joe has been involved in TC 6.8 activities and has led the ASHRAE standards committee SPC 194 as chair multiple times. Additionally, he is a voting member of the Canadian Standards Association, instrumental in the ongoing updates to the C448 bi-national standard.
Joe's advocacy extends beyond his official roles. He is driven to promote education on geothermal heat pump technology's financial and environmental benefits and provide a clearly defined path to geothermal ownership and adoption.
