Joe Parsons - Director
Joe is the Founder and Principal of Resonant Energy Strategies, LLC (RES), an energy strategy consultancy he established in October 2025 marking a deliberate shift toward commercial-scale geothermal work after more than 30 years in the industry. He also serves as Vice President of Thermal Energy Networks for Transformative Technologies.
Joe's career includes Senior Residential Product Manager at ClimateMaster and Senior Marketing Sustainability Manager at Climate Control Group, across the ClimateMaster, ClimaCool, IEC, and ClimateCraft brands. Prior to that, he held multiple leadership roles, including CEO and President, at EarthLinked Technologies, a Florida-based geothermal heat pump manufacturer.
Industry Participation & Advocacy:
- Served on the Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) board of directors, including two years as its chairman.
- Served a two-year term on the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Board of Directors, including a term as Treasurer.
- Founding member of NY-GEO; retired officer and board member of the California Geothermal Heat Pump Association.
- Twice served in leadership positions for AHRI as Geothermal and Water Source Product Section chair and board member.
- Long-standing ASHRAE member involved in TC 6.8 activities; has chaired ASHRAE standards committee SPC 194 multiple times.
- Voting member of the Canadian Standards Association, serving on the TC423 Ground and Water Source Heat Pumps Technical Committee.
- Board member, Geothermal Drillers Association (GDA).
- Member, Geothermal Market Capacity Coalition (GMCC) and Building Decarbonization Coalition (BDC).
- Advisory Board member, REDICOOL
Joe's advocacy extends beyond his official roles. He is driven to promote education on geothermal heat pump technology's financial and environmental benefits and provide a clearly defined path to geothermal ownership and adoption.
